Jenyne Donaldson

Jenyne Donaldson joined the News Leader 9 team in October 2013 as the morning reporter. She hails from the suburbs of Philadelphia and is excited to wake up every morning with the Chattahoochee Valley. Rain or shine, she can be seen reporting on breaking news, tips to keep you safe and healthy, and need-to-know information.

Prior to joining News Leader 9, Jenyne worked as a general assignment reporter in North Texas where she covered major stories including multiple wildfires, the devastating drought and a plane crash at Sheppard Air Force Base.

Jenyne graduated from Morgan State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Telecommunications with a Broadcast Journalism concentration. While in school, she reported for the university's student-run station WMSU-TV. She then interned with FOX 5 WTTG in Washington DC, which was a great experience, especially for someone like her who loves local and national politics. From there she worked as a commentator for the Federal Executive Board in Baltimore, interviewing high ranking government officials.

Jenyne also worked as an Assignment Editor for KYW CBS3/The CW Philly in Philadelphia. There she honed her news skills working on major stories including; The Penn State Child Abuse Scandal, The Priest Abuse Scandal in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia, Occupy Philly, Hurricanes Irene and Sandy and the Mid-Atlantic Earthquake.

Jenyne enjoys traveling, sports, and dancing. She believes traveling broadens your horizons and expands your heart. A former basketball and tennis player, dancer, and certified scuba diver, she is very outgoing and adventurous and loves to try new things. Her favorite expedition was driving extreme ATV's through the mountains and desert and across the beach in Mexico.
