Here's what we're working on tonight on 9News

From WAFB Managing Editor George Sells:

No, this is NOT a case of "here we go again" in the Gulf of Mexico. An explosion on a rig this morning put 13 men in the water 120 miles south of Morgan City. All were rescued. There is no connection to the Deepwater Horizon which exploded 240 miles east Northeast.

Waves along the North Carolina Coast are getting as high as 18 feet and a hurricane warning is in effect for the east tip of Massachusetts' Cape Cod region.

Police are trying to put together details on the shooting death of a 24-year-old man, whose body was found in a parking on Marque Ann Drive. That's near the end of the Choctaw Extension five blocks North of Florida Boulevard.

The Stock Market saw a healthy 50 point climb today.

And temperatures becoming more seasonal, in the 60's at night but pushing the 90's in the daylight hours. There's a 20% chance of showers tomorrow, none on Saturday or Sunday.

Join us tonight for the CBS Evening News at 5:30pm and 9news at 6pm.
