BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - The first of ten defendants charged in "Operation Illegal Motion" has just been sentenced. 

Former Baton Rouge City Prosecutor Flitcher Bell was sentenced to three years in prison, WAFB's Jim Shannon reports from the federal courthouse.

"Operation Illegal Motion" is a federal investigation into wrongdoing within Baton Rouge's court systems.

Nine others are still awaiting sentencing today including Evelyn Holden, the sister of Baton Rouge Mayor Kip Holden.
