The goal of AGRH is to assist patients reach their highest level of functional independence and self-determination within their own physical limitations.
Working together as a team, we pledge to provide the highest quality of care available. Each patient works with an interdisciplinary team of professionals. The patient's team members include family members, physiatrist, family physician, rehabilitation nurse, case managers, physical therapists, occupational therapists and speech/language therapists. Other treatment professionals are available as needed.
Available for patients who are medically stable but continue to need intensive physical attention and assistance. To meet criteria for inpatient services, the patient must be able to participate in physical therapy, occupational therapy or speech therapy for at least 3 hours per day.
Designed to assist families and patients with the physical, cognitive, emotional and psychological effects of a stroke. Education for patients and families is a key component in AGRH stroke program. Support-adjustment groups and education are held on a regular basis.
Designed to treat patients with traumatic brain injury, anoxic/hypoxic brain injury, encephalopathy and brain tumors. Private rooms allow patients maximum mobility within a safe confined environment. Rooms are designed to minimize distractions and confusion. Daily orientation groups are held to maximize patients' awareness of their surroundings and to strengthen cognition.
Designed for those patients with amputations, multiple trauma, joint replacement and hip fractures with medical complications.
Designed to treat those patients who have become debilitated from a serious illness or after a long hospital stay. Examples of some of the conditions that are appropriate for this program would be cardiac recovery, oncology, post surgical and complex medical care.
Rehabilitation care is usually covered by Medicare, Medicaid and Health Insurance plans. Other financial arrangements may also be made for those with no coverage or limited coverage. Our staff will be happy to assist with questions of coverage, co-pays, benefits, etc.

Our patients are secure and safe in the knowledge they can rest and heal in a full service hospital with 24-hour care staffed with medical rehabilitation specialists and consultants.
