Lawyers flock to LA following explosion and spill

VENICE, LA (WAFB) - Cleanup crews and politicians aren't the only ones flocking to the Gulf Coast. Lawyers from around the nation are converging on southern Louisiana.

At last count, 26 potential class-action lawsuits had been filed since last week's explosion and spill.

Attorneys say there could be thousands of plaintiffs from Texas to Florida seeking damages from BP and other companies involved in the spill.

Those seeking damages range from commercial fisherman to individual property owners.
