LAKE CHARLES, LA (WAFB) - The man famous for leading military efforts after Hurricane Katrina was in Louisiana on Friday.
Retired Lieutenant General Russell Honore told WAFB's sister station in Lake Charles, KPLC, that this coastal crisis could be worse than Katrina.
"In this case we've got a failure in equipment that is causing a natural disaster that has the potential to go way beyond the after effects of a hurricane," said Honore. "This could be something that could go years to recover our Gulf Coast."
Honore said he will visit the coastal area on Saturday.
