Here's what we're working on tonight...

From WAFB Managing Editor George Sells:

The Louisiana legislature is working on a bill that would not only repeal the extra $15 fee applied to new drivers' licenses, but refund the money for those who already have paid.

We've just been told that School Board President John Dilworth is leaning strongly toward staying in his Baton Rouge job. There's even talk of a training session to ease micro-management by some administration members.

Governor Bobby Jindal appointed a new Lieutenant Governor today to replace Mitch Landrieu who's taking over as mayor of New Orleans. The new man is Scott Angelle. He has an impressive background.

We're told that one-third of the world's oil cleanup fleet is now in the Gulf of Mexico trying to clean up the mess from last week's oil rig explosion. We'll have a report from the site fewer than 200 miles Southeast of Baton Rouge.

Also tonight, LSU's national championship coach will explain a three game loss to Ole Miss in Oxford.

And we have three straight days ahead with moderate temperatures and sunny skies. Jay Grymes will have your forecast tonight on 9News at 6pm!
