Here's what we're working on tonight...

From Managing Editor George Sells:

Even in bright sunshine rescue teams can still see the flames in the distance. An oil rig is burning 50 miles Southeast of Venice, Louisiana. 126 workers were on the rig. 17 are confirmed injured. Eleven are still missing.

In the legislature, they're considering a ban on some of those high-powered energy drinks. Some critics complain they could be lethal.

You don't see this happen very often: a Pro-Am golf tournament at the Country Club of Louisiana. Local professional star John Daly LOST the 8th hole in competition with two women, one of them a prominent local businesswoman.

Weather-wise, temperatures in the 50s tonight and highs tomorrow around 82. Join us tonight for 9News at 6pm!
