LAFAYETTE, La. (AP) - Investigators in Lafayette say they have found nothing to link the death of a homeless woman to alleged serial killer Jeffery Lee Guillory.
Police took a second look at the death of Shannon Dixon in September 2007 after Guillory was arrested in December in connection with the slayings of three women in Baton Rouge area between 1999 and 2002.
A coroner earlier said Dixon died of a drug overdose. Police say they won't reopen the investigation. Guillory is serving a 50-year prison sentence for attempting to kill another Lafayette woman in December 2007.
