Funeral held for 4 murder victims

NEW ORLEANS (AP) - A 25-year-old mother, her sister and her son and daughter - all gunned down in their home last week - were buried on Friday.

WWL-TV reported that a large crowd of mourners attended the family's funeral services at the Greater Bright Morning Star Full Gospel Baptist Church.

Angel Davis; her children, 7-year-old Jamare Ross and 4-year-old Joseph Davis; and her sister, 17-year-old Malika Davis, were described by those at the service as a "sweet and loving family."

Students at John McDonogh High School held a memorial this week to honor the memory of classmate Malika Davis. Earlier, 22-year-old Damian Jordan, a nephew, was arrested for the murders.
