BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Football stars with close ties to south Louisiana are out in full effect in Miami. They're among a select few with the best seats in the house for Super Bowl XLIV.
One of those stars is former Tiger and current wide receiver for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Michael Clayton.
Clayton actually got his start in Baton Rouge at Christian Life Academy. He's currently in Miami experiencing his first Super Bowl in the stands.
"It's a good feeling just to be from Louisiana," Clayton said. "Walking around and the people recognize your face. Just to see the smiles on their faces because of the Saints success."
"I got a real good feeling that they're going to pull it off."
Clayton along with thousands of Who Dat's are gathered in sunny Florida, ready and waiting to cheer on the black and gold during Super Bowl XLIV. Clayton says everywhere you go Saints fans are representing. He describes the scene down there as Bourbon Street in Miami.
Clayton believes the Saints biggest obstacle will be stopping Peyton Manning who has mastered the game of football. Clayton said if the Saints can control him they will be just fine.
Clayton's prediction for the final score of the game is 30 - 27 in favor of the New Orleans Saints.
