LAFAYETTE, LA (WAFB) - The woman credited with providing key information leading to the arrest of serial killer Derrick Todd Lee will not receive a reward from Crime Stoppers.

A Louisiana appeals court in Lafayette denied Dianne Alexander the Crime Stoppers reward on Friday saying she did not provide the information directly to that group, but rather to the police. The total amount of the reward would have been $150,000.

The Alexanders called police after Dianne's son found Lee attacking his mother in 2003. Lee was later convicted of two murders.

Their attorney says he plans to continue pursuing this case.
