MAUREPAS, LA (WAFB) - Three people were arrested for allegedly "cooking" meth in the kitchen of a Maurepas home Tuesday evening.
According to the Livingston Parish Sheriff's Office, the meth lab was found at a home in the 18000 block of Old Ferry Road around 5:30 p.m.
Authorities said they found a fully operational meth lab in the oven.
Deputies arrested Richard Smith, 26; Jeremy Tanner, 22; and Brandon Babin, 37. Babin lived at the home where the meth lab was found. All three men live in Maurepas.
Deputies noted the trio was also grilling steaks on the front porch when the meth lab was found.
All three were charged with one count of operation/creation of a meth lab and one count of manufacturing of a Schedule II controlled dangerous substance.
Bond on each suspect was set at $150,000.
Deputies reported as of Thursday morning, all three were still locked up inside the Livingston Parish Detention Center.
