BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - An East Baton Rouge Parish grand jury indicted a 20-year-old man for second-degree murder for the death of a 52-year-old man in October.
Derichard Lavy is accused of gunning down Donnie Williams during a drive-by shooting in the 1800 block of Swan Avenue near Thelma Street on Oct. 2.
District Attorney Hillar Moore asked for and was given a second-degree murder indictment against Lavy. If convicted, he faces life in prison.
Hakeem Profit, 19, was also arrested for his alleged involvement in the murder. He faces a principal to second-degree murder charge.
