BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - A young boy was laid to rest Tuesday after dying of cancer.  James Vidrine, 3, lost his 18-month battle with cancer Sunday.  James had a rare type of tumor that grew in his kidney.

Doctors were working on shrinking the tumor with an aggressive form of chemotherapy.  The tumor disappeared and things were better for James and his family, but the tumor came back.

In December, James had the ultimate LSU experience.  James got to hang out with the coaches and even bat a few balls with the baseball team, thanks to the Dreams Come True organization.

James was laid to rest this Tuesday morning in Grand Prairie, Louisiana.
