Comment:
From the runner-up of our Super Sunday Recipe Contest on WAFB, Jason Glover's wings are a great tailgating snack and are very easily prepared. Hoisin sauce is simply an Asian barbeque sauce and can be found at any oriental market or the international section of your local grocery store. This recipe can also be altered using your favorite sauce instead of the Hoisin and Honey sauce.

Ingredients:

1 package of 10−12 raw chicken wings
1 cup Hoisin sauce
1 cup honey
salt and black pepper to taste
granulated garlic to taste
1/4 cup melted butter
1/4cup olive oil
1/4cup hot sauce
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
red pepper flakes to taste
1 tsp minced garlic
1/2 cup sliced green onions for garnish

Method:
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Season wings with salt, pepper and granulated garlic. In a large bowl, combine melted butter, olive oil, hot sauce and Worcestershire sauce. Add wings to bowl and toss until well coated. Place wings on cookie sheet and bake 15 minutes. Turn wings over and bake an additional 10−15 minutes or until they are nicely browned and fully cooked. NOTE: Wings can also be deep-fried in oil for a crispier texture. While wings are cooking, create Hoisin and honey sauce. In a clean large bowl, combine honey, Hoisin sauce and minced garlic and mix well. Red pepper flakes may be added for additional heat. After wings are done, remove from oven then add wings and drippings to the Hoisin and honey sauce. Toss cooked wings in sauce until well coated. Transfer coated wings to a serving plate, sprinkle with sliced green onions and serve hot.
