BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - According to a blogger for Newsweek magazine, Gov. Bobby Jindal is "emerging from political rehab," meaning he is once again a viable candidate for vice president in 2012.
Andrew Romano's quote refers to the highly-criticized Republican response Jindal gave to President Barack Obama's first address to Congress last year. Romano said since then, Jindal has made all the right contacts on national fundraising trips.
In fact, Newsweek reports the most likely Republican presidential candidate in 2012, Mitt Romney, has already held a major fundraiser for Jindal's Louisiana gubernatorial re-election bid, keeping Jindal on the political radar.
