  • Halloumi Cheese
  • Olive Oil
  • Minced garlic
  • Pinch or two of Cayenne Pepper
  • Several splashes of Mint extract
  • Several cherry tomatoes (optional)

  • Slice halloumi in several semi thick slices
  • Heat oil on high until very hot- and sprinkle in cayenne pepper, stir around
  • Take halloumi slices and place them in skillet – Cheese will ‘cook' quickly, but will not melt
  • Lightly brown each side of the cheese- and sprinkle with pepper
  • Add in three quick splashes of mint extract…
  • In the next minute, continue to turn the cheese- making sure it does not over brown
  • Add in garlic and stir oil – pulling the skillet off the heat source before garlic turns completely black
  • Place cheese slices on plate, and pour remaining oil mixture over it- garnish with sliced cherry tomatoes is desired
