With the heightened terror alert and a serial killer loose in Baton Rouge, some people are going to be concerned.

Area florists getting ready for early morning deliveries are concerned as well. They're worried folks might not take kindly to a knock on their door from a stranger at seven in the morning. Baton Rouge police urge you to keep your cool, but be mindful of the situation.

"If you're more comfortable keeping the door shut and let the delivery man leave the flowers outside the door, that's perfectly fine. But if there is something that is strange, that you're very uncomfortable with, call us and we'll do what we can do to check it out," said Corporal Mary Ann Godawa with the Baton Rouge Police Department.

Godowa suggests you use common sense when answering the door--even on valentine's day.
