We're now less than two weeks away from the opening of our public and private schools. Students and parents alike are getting ready for the start of a new year. Part of that preparation is making sure students have uniforms for class, something that is a hardship for many area families.

WAFB is once again joining forces with St. Vincent de Paul, Chase Bank, and Kean's the Cleaners, to provide "Uniforms for Kids." The Uniforms for Kids drive is an effort to collect or purchase two school uniforms for every child who needs them in our 12-parish area. Our goal this year is to collect over 30,000 uniforms for 15,000 students.

With your help, we can do this two ways. You may drop off used uniforms at any Kean's the Cleaners or you can make a donation at any Chase Bank with the money going towards buying new uniforms. For the past eleven years, this drive has put smiles on the faces of thousands of children. We thank you for your generosity and appreciate your help in reaching this year's goal.
