It appears the visit to North Korea overnight by former President Bill Clinton was a slam-dunk. It's morning over there right now and a brief announcement just before dawn carried Clinton's good news.

A mysterious note from the jury slowed things today in the bribery trial of former Congressman William Jefferson. The jury is in day four of deliberations.

Local postal authorities insist that post offices here listed for shutdown are only recommendations and don't necessarily mean actual closure. Six branches are on the Baton Rouge list including popular stations on Perkins Road and Cortana Place.

And again today, the stock market closed on the upside. In fact the market is now at its highest levels since a huge plunge in November.
