Check Out Hunger

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -

From now through July 9th, residents within the Baton Rouge Food Bank's 11-parish service area will have the opportunity to make an impulse purchase that will help to change the face of hunger throughout the Baton Rouge community. In addition to routine grocery purchases, shoppers can also "Check Out Hunger" by conveniently adding a $1, $3, or $5 donation to their grocery bill during this five-week campaign.

  • Calvin's Bocage Supermarket
  • Daigle's Supermarket
  • Hi Nabor Supermarkets
  • Hubben's Supermarket
  • Lamendola's Supermarket
  • Matherne's Supermarkets
  • Langlois' Grocery
  • Reeve's Supermarket
  • Tureau's Grocery

Drop off food items at participating Neighbors Federal Credit Union locations.

The Top 10 reasons to give to the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank

  1. Provides the hungry with one of life's most basic needs - FOOD.
  2. For every $1 donated, the Food Bank provides 7 meals.
  3. A full barrel of donated food will feed a family of 4 for 2 weeks.
