As you watch WAFB over the next few months, you will notice that the word "green" will show up more and more in our news and programming. Living Greener for Louisiana is our new umbrella program that includes news and community events aimed at providing information and opportunities for all of us to work towards a greener Louisiana.

By "greener," we mean a Louisiana that works towards conserving energy and protecting and preserving our natural environment. One of our first steps towards our goal was to host an in-house WAFB recycling day, where our staff donated their unused computers and electronic equipment to the Capital area corporate recycling council.

Soon you will be seeing weekly tips for green living in our morning news and our first Living Greener for Louisiana half-hour special on July 30th. This is not a green week or a one month promotion. Living Greener for Louisiana is an ongoing project that will join our family of WAFB public service programs. It's our hope that by adding a little green to everything that we do, helping our environment will become a habit, instead of a chore.
