After years of preparation, the Big Switch to digital television is finally here. Friday morning at 7:00, WAFB will turn off its analog broadcast signal and switch to a digital broadcast. We hope that those of you who have been watching via antennae have your digital converter box or new cable or dish connections in place.

For our viewers who do not have cable or dish boxes, you may have to "re-channel" your TV. This will allow your set to find WAFB's new home on your channel menu. If you no longer have your television's manual to assist you in re-channeling, click here for a list of links to television manufacturers. Remember, throughout our switch to digital, you can find answers or contact us with questions by going to The Big Switch.

We will also have extra phone lines open so that we can provide added assistance. Just call 225-215-0050 Friday morning or the FCC Call Center at 888-225-5322 at any time. Please remember to join us Friday for a special edition of 9 News This Morning as we countdown to the switch to digital TV.
