ALEXANDRIA, LA (WAFB) - A Lafayette man will face criminal charges in an accident in Alexandria that killed a mother and her two daughters.
Police charged 21-year-old Justin Brouillette with three counts of negligent homicide after he ran over and killed the three, who were walking alongside the highway.
Brouillette was taken to the hospital. He was injured when his car hit a drainage ditch.
Investigators say it does not appear that Brouillette intentionally hit the pedestrians.
