Surveillance tape shows the thieves setting up their Chevy pickup to steal the machines from the Waterloo Exxon and Daiquiris Shop.
The Waterloo is on a corner right by the levee in Ventress, just before where the road heads north for the ferry.
The smaller guy in the video has on a black shirt and walks with a limp.
Detectives say the big guy wears a size 13 boot. He breaks out the glass of the business with ease to gain entry.
Both men wore masks while committing the crime, but it is believed that they are white men.
Just one of the video poker machines weighs 300 pounds. Investigators say when they later found the machines in a field, it took three detectives to pick them up.
The thieves also took the tapes that had a record of how many thousands of dollars were in the machines.
The machines, which were later destroyed with sledge hammers, are valued at $28,000. There was also thousands more in cash inside.
From start to finish, the break-in took only 33 seconds. If you know the thieves, call the Pointe Coupee Sheriff's Office.Comments Terms of Use: We welcome your participation in our community.
