Man accused of threatening murder witness

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - A Baton Rouge man is facing charges after allegedly threatening to kill a murder witness.

Marcus Hasten, 24, is accused of calling the witness and a friend of the witness and telling them they would be killed if they didn't change their story to clear Warren Jackson.

Jackson was arrested Monday in connection with the murder of Travis Yates, 17, in the 3100 block of Midway back on July 18th.  Two other teens, Derrick Hughes, 18, and Christopher Armstead, 19, were arrested July 21st in connection with the killing.

Hasten has been charged with intimidating a witness.
