BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - One suspect has been arrested and another is still on the loose after a deadly shooting Thursday afternoon in the 1900 block of Mariner.

Jordan Daigre, 20, was arrested Thursday night for his role in the death of David Young, 41.  The second suspect in the shooting, Rico Anthony, 19, is still at large.

According to reports, Young was visiting relatives on Mariner around 1 p.m. when Daigre and Anthony entered the home and began arguing with Young, who told them to leave.  The argument continued outside when Anthony allegedly pulled out a gun and gave it to Daigre. Daigre then allegedly pointed it at Young, who drew his own gun.  Young and Daigre continued to argue, then Young put his gun back in his pocket and got into his car to leave.  Anthony then allegedly took the gun from Daigre and shot Young multiple times.

Young was taken to an area hospital where he later died.

Daigre has been charged with principal to second degree murder.

If you have any information on this shooting, call the East Baton Rouge Sheriff's Office at 389-5000 or Crime Stoppers at 344-STOP.  Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward for anyone with information leading to the arrest of those responsible.
