Deputies seek one more in beating & robbery

PRAIRIEVILLE, LA (WAFB) - Ascension Parish sheriff's deputies are still looking for one person they believe was part of a group of four involved in a robbery and beating at a motel in October.

Deputies responded to the C'est Bon Motel on Airline Highway after a call by Kenneth Mcleod on Oct. 27. He told them he had been beaten and robbed while staying at the motel.

Mcleod admitted that he had invited a woman, Rose Ann Barker, 33, to his room a week earlier and paid her for sex. According to reports, he called her again the evening of October 27th to come over for drinks.

Barker arrived at the motel with two unknown women and an unidentified man.  The man then allegedly beat McLeod and robbed him. They then fled in a dark-colored truck.

Rose Ann Barker was arrested November 19th on charges of simple robbery, prostitution and two bench warrants for failure to appear.  Her bond was set at $17,736.50.

The man has been identified as Leo Haymond III, 29.  Detectives say that Barker tried to run from the truck after the alleged robbery, but Haymond pulled a weapon on her and wouldn't allow her to leave.  He is wanted for simple robbery, false imprisonment with a dangerous weapon, aggravated assault with a firearm and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

The two other women have been identified as Catherine Summerville, 26, and Tammie David, 32.  Summerville was arrested November 20th for simple robbery.  Her bond was set at $7,500.

David is currently at large.
