Charlotte Marie Lee (Source: Livingston Parish Sheriff's Office)SPRINGFIELD, LA (WAFB) - Authorities say two women were fighting over a man at a trailer home in Livingston Parish when one of them stabbed the other Monday night. The victim died.
Charlotte Marie Lee, 28, was charged with second-degree murder in the death of Dana Lindsey, 19. Livingston Parish deputies found Lindsey dead inside her Springfield trailer home on Sycamore Street around 10 p.m. She had been stabbed numerous times.
Witnesses named Lee as the suspect and she was found at a nearby apartment complex. According to investigators, Lee admitted to stabbing Lindsey but told them it was an accident.
An autopsy was scheduled for Tuesday to determine the exact cause of death.
Lee was booked into the Livingston Parish Detention Center. No bond was set on her as of Tuesday morning.
