
Jamie Bridgewater (Source: Livingston Parish Sheriff's Office)ALBANY, LA (WAFB) - A 23-year-old man from Hammond was arrested Wednesday in connection with a string of home break-ins near Albany.
According to Livingston Parish sheriff's deputies, Jamie Bridgewater allegedly stole merchandise from homes in the West Bates Road area.
Deputies said they found a stolen Wii system, a flat-screen television and a DVD system. They said Bridgewater also had a bag of marijuana on him.
He was charged with seven counts of simple burglary and one count of possession of marijuana.
He was booked into the Livingston Parish Detention Center. His bond was set at $115,000.
Detectives believe there are still victims out there who didn't report the crimes.
They also think there may be other suspects on the loose.
Deputies are asking the public to let them know if anyone has seen a green Chevy Impala with damage on the driver's side or a brown and grey Chevy extended cab pickup.
