Second driver in deadly pedestrian crash comes forward

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Baton Rouge police report the driver of the second car they believe was involved in a pedestrian crash that claimed the life of a 4-year-old boy and left a 45-year-old man seriously injured last week came forward Wednesday and was interviewed by investigators.

Police said evidence showed the 70-year-old woman from Port Allen hit one or both of them but only after they had already been hit by another car.

They said the impact from the first car knocked the two into the woman's lane.

Andre Williams died and his godfather, Johnny Kelly, was seriously injured in the crash.

No charges were filed against anyone involved.

Police are still investigating.
