According to East Baton Rouge Parish sheriff's deputies, the most recent shoplift happened when the three women walked into the Baby Gap on Corporate Boulevard around 4 p.m. Tuesday. The suspects put some items into bags and after leaving the store, took off in a black, older-model Chevy Monte Carlo with no license plate. Based on the video, the vehicle appeared to have a dent on the back right fender. It also had a custom front plate with an unknown air-brushed image.
In a previous incident, five women stopped by American Eagle Outfitters on Corporate Boulevard around 5:30 p.m. Monday. They started putting merchandise in bags and purses, but when a manager in the store confronted them, they left.
Three days earlier, two women entered The Children's Place on Corporate around 7:30 p.m. The two reportedly filled a blue bag with several pieces of clothing and left in the Monte Carlo previously described. One of the women was described as between 5'4" and 5'5" with a heavy build. She had braids in her hair and wore green pajama pants. The second suspect was between 5'8" and 5'9" with a slim build.
