GROSSE TETE, LA (WAFB) - State troopers arrested a Florida man Wednesday morning after finding over 30 pounds of marijuana hidden in his truck.
Edward Gross, 53, was pulled over on I-10 near Grosse Tete for a Motor Carrier Safety Inspection. Gross was pulling an empty truck from Texas to Florida and did not have a log book when he was stopped.
The K-9 unit from Louisiana State Police arrived shortly after the stop to do a search and found 31 pounds of marijuana hidden underneath the bunk in the sleeper portion of the cab.
Gross was arrested and charged with possession of schedule I drugs with intent to distribute.
