BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - An investigation is underway into an alleged sexual incident between two students at the Louisiana School for the Visually Impaired.
According to education officials, the incident happened last Wednesday in an unmarked classroom.
After the alleged contact, officials will only say both students faced "appropriate action."
The school's director was put on non-disciplinary leave, but resigned the next day.
Officials said they are also investigating another alleged sexual incident between students that happened in May.
They said they are sending letters home to parents and they plan to hold a meeting with them to discuss the situation.
Earlier this year, the school moved onto the same campus as the School for the Deaf.
It was a move state officials said it made to cut costs.
