Hammond man facing stalking, attempted murder charges

Posted: Updated:

HAMMOND, LA (WAFB) - A Hammond man is facing charges after being arrested early Wednesday morning.

James Miller Green, 40, is accused of breaking into a woman's home, then shooting at her and a friend.

Deputies arrived at the home and found the home ransacked and the rear partially burned.

According to reports, the resident of the home had received several calls from Green throughout the day and repeatedly refused to meet him.  Later in the evening, a neighbor alerted her that someone was in her house.  When she arrived, she said she saw Green leave the home, fire several shots at her and her friend and ran.

Green was later arrested at his home and charged with simple criminal damage, aggravated burglary, stalking and two counts of attempted first degree murder.
