WAFB Channel 9, Baton Rouge, LA |Residents believe damage caused by tornado

Source: KLFY-TV in Lafayette, LABRANCH, LA (WAFB) - People in Branch, Louisiana, which is just west of Lafayette, believe a tornado touched down there Sunday night.
Later in the day, the National Weather Service is expected to say whether or not a twister hit the area.
Whatever it was left buildings damaged and debris throughout the town.
Entergy workers were out through the night repairing downed power lines and restoring power.
There was no word on injuries.
Much of the Baton Rouge area seemed to escape damage from the storms.
