Lee Jacob BrownLIVINGSTON PARISH, LA (WAFB) - Livingston Parish sheriff's deputies arrested three men following three unrelated strings of burglaries in the parish.
Authorities say William Keith Jones, 17, was seen breaking into vehicles in the Arnold Road area of Denham Springs shortly before 4:00 Thursday morning. Deputies had to chase him on foot after spotting him on the side. When deputies searched him, they found several stolen items believed to be stolen on him, including an iPod, two cell phones, and a wallet.
Jones was charged with six counts of simple burglary, one count of theft, one count of resisting an officer, and one count of illegal possession of stolen things. His bond was set at $75,000.
In an unrelated case, Gerald Sollie, 18, was charged with criminal mischief, criminal trespass, and six counts of simple burglary after residents in the Jack Allen Road area near French Settlement say they spotted him breaking into vehicles. Deputies say Sollie was covered with mud and unable to explain why he was walking in the area early Thursday morning. His bond was also set at $75,000.
Lee Jacob Brown, 24, was arrested early Friday morning after information from witnesses led deputies to him in connection with a burglary in the area of Wax Road, south of Denham Springs. During the arrest, deputies say they found several stolen items, as well as marijuana and crack cocaine.
Brown has been charged with two counts of simple burglary, one count of illegal possession of stolen things, one count of possession of drug paraphernalia, one count of possession of marijuana and one count of possession of crack cocaine.
His bond was set at $100,000, with holds placed on him for the Division of Probation and Parole with the Louisiana Department of Corrections and the East Baton Rouge Sheriff's Office.
More arrests are expected as detectives continue to work these cases.
