Crime labs receive state funding

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - The governor's office is sending some big time grants for small city and town police crime labs.

Surprisingly, the biggest grant is to the tiny village of Napoleonville. It gets $151,000.

Baker is receiving $116,000, Bogalusa gets $39,000, Bunkie is set for $83,000, Denham Springs receives $97,000, French Settlement will get $49,000, Grand Isle is scheduled for $40,000, and the town of Walker is set for $127,000.

Among parishes, only East Feliciana in the Capital area gets a grant. It is worth $68,000.
