Teen rape allegation investigated

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - The Baton Rouge Police Department is investigating the reported rape of a 13-year-old girl at the East Baton Rouge Parish school bus transfer point at Independence Park Thursday morning.

Police say the victim is a student at the Mohican Education Center. They say the young girl told them she was raped in a bathroom while waiting for her next school bus. She rode the bus to school, where she told a school official what had happened. 

Police only have a limited description of the suspect. They say he is a young black male in a school uniform. They are asking that anyone with information that could help find out who he is to call Crime Stoppers at 344-7867.
