BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - He says it's his way of giving back to the community. Tuesday, rapper Lil Boosie hosted a "Thanksgiving Giveaway."
At the McKinley Alumni Center, 1,000 turkeys were handed out to needy families in our area.
Lil Boosie, whose real name is Torrence Hatch, stopped by during Easter and hosted a similar event.
He gave away 1,000 bicycles, board games, and school uniforms.
Lil Boosie showed up Tuesday right after our cameras left.
Organizers say he stayed and helped hand out the turkeys and talk to the people in line.
