Education: Northwestern University Medill School of Journalism - for both undergrad and grad school. I did a combined program called AMP - majored in art and broadcast journalism
Awards and Accomplishments: I have completed several marathons and triathlons, exhibited artwork in the Marnie Sheridan Gallery in Nashville, TN, worked as news director for Northwestern News Network-NNN, broadcast educators award for documentary "The Hope and Heartache of Autism," won several Associated Press awards
Family Info: My entire family has lived in Louisiana at some point or another---but most are now in Nashville, TN - I'm the first of them to make Red Stick my home.
Community Involvement: Capitol Correspondents Association board member, Baton Rouge Press Club board member, St. Jude volunteer, Salvation Army volunteer
Hobbies: running, yoga, painting, anything artsy, people-watching, playing with my pup Scoop---he's a very cute cockapoo, pretty much up for anything...
Big Stories Covered: Hurricane Gustav, Trinity Schley's trip to China, Governor Bobby Jindal's national response speech…but to me the BIGGEST stories are those that result in a systemic or personal change for the better=)
