Lafayette Sheriffs Deputies have arrested two suspects wanted for a murder in California.
Authorities say 21-year old Ian Allen, along with 17-year-old Rachel Mullenix had warrants for their arrest issued in Huntington Beach, California. Lafayette Parish Sheriff's deputies were notified that the two would possibly be driving through Lafayette on their way to Florida.
Around 4:30 Friday afternoon, sheriff's deputies spotted a truck matching the description of the couple's 2006 black Ford pick-up. Mullenix and Allen are booked in the Lafayette Parish jail awaiting extradition back to California.
