BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - LSU head coach Les Miles said running back Stevan Ridley has been ruled ineligible for the Cotton Bowl.

Miles added he is appealing an academic issue and hopes to have Ridley back by the game on Jan. 7.

The announcement was made during a news conference after practice Tuesday morning.

The Tigers take on the Texas A&M Aggies at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, TX.
