ST. FRANCISVILLE, LA (WAFB) - A St. Francisville teenager accused of a brutal murder was expected to make his second court appearance Tuesday morning, but a reported move by his attorney has apparently changed that plan.

Trevor Reese, 16, was scheduled to appear in court for a bond hearing.

However, there is word his attorney filed paperwork requesting no bond be set.

A judge ruled last week Reese can be tried as an adult in the case.

A grand jury is set to hear arguments Thursday and determine exactly what charge the teen should face.

There was no information about a change to that scheduled proceeding.

He has been held without bond since his arrest last Thursday.

He is accused of killing Jackson Attuso, 8, of Clinton in The Bluffs subdivision in West Feliciana Parish on June 10.

According to authorities, Reese stabbed Attuso to death while the young boy was riding his bike through the woods with his mother.
