BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - A man with what Louisiana State Police say were over 5,000 dosages of prescription drugs in a storage unit was arrested Friday afternoon.

According to reports, Ali Al Khurdi, 44, had hidden the drugs at a self-storage facility on Jefferson Highway.  Khurdi gave investigators permission to search the unit after they presented him with information they had collected.

During the search, investigators found found over five thousand dosage units of Lortab, Xanax and Viagra.

Al Khurdi was arrested and booked into East Baton Rouge Parish Prison on charges of possession with intent to distribute Hydrocodone, Alprazolam and Viagra.

Al Khurdi came into the United States on a student visa that expired in 1990.  He will be unable to bond out of jail and will be detained by Immigration and Customs Enforcement for deportation.
