French Settlement Elementary, Sherwood Middle Magnet and St. James Episcopal were the only three schools from the area to receive the prestigious Blue Ribbon of Excellence award by the U.S. Department of Education.
The head of St. James Episcopal Day School, Linda Chauviere, and her assistant, Beth Dauthier, proudly held the award for picture taking.
Sharon Sims and Kathleen Randolph of Sherwood Middle Magnet showed off their awards as well.
French Settlement Elementary's picture was too small to use.
