BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Baton Rouge rapper Torrence "Lil Boosie" Hatch was sentenced to two years in prison Tuesday afternoon after pleading guilty to drug and gun charges.
Despite the sentence, the 26-year-old rapper could serve as little as one year, depending on his behavior while locked up.
"I'm just ready to get all of this behind me and get further on with my career," Hatch said as he left the courthouse. "I pled guilty to my best interest."
He added he wants to spend as much time with his kids as possible before reporting to prison.
Last fall, East Baton Rouge Parish sheriff's deputies reportedly seized a bag of marijuana, a cigar with marijuana in it and a gun from Hatch's car.
