Stormy Sunday, Mid Week Flood Threat

Today's Forecast

Today's Forecast Image

A Slight Risk for severe weather remains for portions of the viewing area Sunday.  A squall line of t-storms is expected to arrive late morning into the early afternoon.  Damaging winds is the primary concern, but all forms of severe weather will be possible.  Sunday won't be a complete wash out with just scattered t-showers for the rest of the afternoon into the evening.  We stay dry and nice Monday and Tuesday.  A slow moving strong storm system will bring very heavy rainfall to the local area Wednesday into Thursday.  Rainfall totals could exceed 3-6" in some spots.  Flash flooding of low lying spots and roads will be likely.  We could even see some river flooding depending on where the heaviest rain occurs.  A few lingering showers will be possible Friday and Saturday as the storm system slowly exits to the east. - Jeff Morrow / WAFB Storm Team
