Rooftop restaurant ‘Bumsteers’ now open in former Crispy Catch building

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - A new rooftop restaurant and bar is now open in the former Crispy Catch building in the Perkins Road overpass area, according to the Baton Rouge Business Report. The restaurant is celebrating its grand opening Tuesday, April 23.

Chad Hughes and Eric Carnegie are launched the new establishment called Bumsteers, located at 3109 Perkins Road.

A full-service restaurant and bar will occupy the first and second floors with an open rooftop bar area. Renovations for the l 5,300 square feet building were underway in December 2018.

Hughes and Carnegie signed a lease to open Bumsteers in 2018 after Cripsy Catch closed in March. The two business partners currently own restaurants and bars in downtown Baton Rouge and the Perkins Road overpass area.

Bumsteers’ menu will feature burgers, salads, tacos, sandwiches, and appetizers. Both the main bar and rooftop bar will feature 24 beers on tap. Wine on tap and fresh-squeezed juice cocktails will also be available at each bar. The restaurant will have gaming areas for children and pool tables and foosball on the rooftop for everyone.
